Monthly Photo Challenge: North Chagrin Reservation — May

This is the month when North Chagrin Reservation morphed into a lush garden. You will see in the early part of the month things have thawed but the trees are not yet in full foliage. But today, even though the clouds gathered and the rain fell, the splendor of this place was in full bloom! This month’s portfolio depicts the transformation from very early spring to the full-blown season. And by the way, I didn’t count the number of photos I am posting so forgive me if I exceed the suggested limit. It’s just that everything is so lively and beautiful now. 🙂

The Blue Heron

This Heron spent over thirty minutes preening its feathers (molting season) giving me ample time to set up a tripod and “shoot” away! Enjoy the photos. 🙂

A beautiful bird, a striking pose!

Late Night Musings

Hello! Y’all have been on my mind a lot lately. I am swamped in studies, writing, deadlines, clients, etc. (and loving every minute of it) but I’m getting anxious to get back to a routine that allows me the freedom to blog and “chat” with folks around the world. Despite the heavy demands of studies and work, I do manage to get out at least once a week to soak in nature–breathe the fresh air, walk through the forest, linger beside a lily pond, listen to the birds chirping–and be rejuvenated. Since it has been a while since I’ve shared photos, I decided to post a few for your enjoyment. These were taken this summer in Kentucky and Ohio. Enjoy. 🙂
