Monthly Photo Challenge: North Chagrin Reservation — July

This month has been abnormally rainy and cool for this part of the world. It hasn’t felt much like July at all. Sunny days are few and far between. Although the days are dreary more often than not, the excessive rains created lush landscapes throughout the area as evidenced by the following photographs. These photos were taken this morning. I was pretty much alone as I walked through the meadow and along a paved trail to Sunset Pond. Although the sky was overcast I was able to get a few good shots. Regardless the weather, North Chagrin Reservation remains one of my favorite places to “get lost” in.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, coolquilting. No the snake is a sculpture large enough for kids to crawl on. The sculpture is changed every two or three years. Last year it was two frogs. I include one shot of the snake each month just for fun. 🙂

    1. North Chagrin Reservation is a wonderful place. I spend time there every week just to mellow out after working long hours in the poorest sections of the city. The reservation restores my soul. But alas, no swimming allowed. A pity because I do love to swim.

    1. I don’t know who creates the sculptures. For several years there were two toads on this spot. Then out of the blue the toads disappeared and were replaced by this friendly snake. The sculpture is large enough for kids to crawl on and is a favorite photo-op site for young families.
