A Short Respite

I completed another quarter of my studies and have a bit of a respite before my next quarter commences. As a way of unwinding, my husband and I took a drive out to my favorite nature reservation. It was wonderful to walk in the crisp, clean air on paths through forest and along streams and pond. I shot some photos–only a few–but is wat late in the day and the light was waning. I did get one shot though, to share with you. I can’t remember which photo challenge it was, but one was “Reflections.” I have suspended my participation in photo challenges for a while, but this was a “Reflection” shot that I liked. Hope you like it, too.

  1. Cecelia, how special it was to open my inbox and see that you have left a post. The tree is stunning against purple fading to lavender of the evening sky. Is that a nest in the middle of the right hand side of the photo? I hope you and Richard are having a wonderful Hanukkah season. It is so nice that you also have a break between quarters now.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Barbara. Actually, this is a photo of the reflection of the tree in the water, not the tree itself. I’m not sure if there is a nest in there or not. And yes, we are enjoying Channukah this year more than usual. It happens that way some times. Thanks for stopping by. šŸ™‚

  2. Very nice shot Cecelia. May your rest enliven your thoughts ready for the tasks that the future holds. I hope you succeed in completing your course and acieving your objective. Best wishes to you and your family during the celebration of Hanukkah šŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, Martin. Tonight is the last night of Hanukah, and our first in our new home. It has been a very sweet time. Thanks for your well wishes. Best to you, too, for the coming year. šŸ™‚

    1. It is so good go see you! Yes, the year is “chugging along.” Doing the prep work for practicum and fieldwork and I’m excited.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods, too. Have a great week.
