More Color! Weekly Photo Challenge: Colorful

Couldn’t resist two more shots at this challenge!

The following is not my usual photo subject, but I couldn’t resist.  Check it out.  It was taken just minutes after the above photo. 🙂

    1. Oh I know what you mean. Years ago I lived in a place where I had a small yard. I placed a birdbath in it then surrounded it with petunias. This little “garden” took up most of the yard, but I LOVED it. The fragrance, the colors, the birds combined to create magical early morning treats throughout the season. Some day I hope to replicate my “petunia” garden.
Thanks for stopping by, and as always, I appreciate your comments.

  1. Cecelia, thank you for allowing me to wake up with your two photos on this summer Sunday morning. Here on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, MO, we have an abundance of carefully landscaped floral gardens. We also have a small group of motorcycle riders – although with regular helmets rather than HELMET helmets – who like to leave their cycles carefully parked at the curb while they enjoy evening coffee at an outdoor coffee cafe.

    1. 🙂 It was unexpected to come across them, unexpected because I don’t normally shoot that kind of subject matter, and yes, unexpectedly cool! I’m glad you liked them. 🙂

  2. Love the deep purple petunias next to the salmon colored flower. Beautiful! Very colorful motorcycle riders too!

    1. Thanks Theresa. Flowers always catch my eye and I appreciate it when others like them, too. The motorcyclists on the other hand, are completely out of my realm of expertise. . . but who could refuse a shot like that! I came across them just minutes after shooting the first photo. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Both shots are very interesting. About 2 years ago I saw someone on a regular bike wearing a helmet with what appeared to be feathers going down the middle. I so wished I had a camera then… I love the composition of the flowers. Thank you for sharing!
