Weekly Photo Challenge: Wildlife

I love this challenge!  I was at the National Zoo not too long ago and got some good shots which I will share here.  The gorilla was my absolute favorite!  I don’t think it will take too much studying to figure out why.  Enjoy!

    1. Thanks frizztext. Since I’ve joined the postaweekk2011 and the Weekly Photo Challenge, I have stepped up the blogging. . .and I am hooked! I love it. Thanks for stopping by, and for leaving a comment. Much appreciated. 🙂

    1. Thanks. Those are my favorites. I didn’t know what I had until I got home and uploaded them. Thanks for taking time to comment. I’m happy you likd the apes, too.

    1. Yeah, we are zebra fans around here. . .especially since our grandson loves them so much. I always shoot pics of the zebras when we go to the zoo, just for our Jacob. Glad you liked it, and glad you paused long enough to leave a comment. Thanks.

    1. Thanks Ramon. The apes are my favs. When I shot those photos I had no idea what was there until I uploaded them. His/her (?) eyes, the contemplative look, the reflections in the glass, all makes me wonder who is on display? Depends on which perspective. Glad you like them. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Much appreciated.

  1. Lovely Zeebras…dnt get to see them here..

I have to add Cecelia, your display picture just lifts my spirits, you have such a divine child look on that one!

    1. Thank you, Kamakshi! Zeebras are my grandson’s favorites so whenever I go to the zoo, I have to get a few shots for him. As to my display, photo, that was taken when I was seven years old. The pic was taken when I was 7-years-old, 50+ years ago. I think I used it because it reflects the desire to express myself without reservation and with authenticity, much as we all do when we are young children. Not sure I acheive that goal, but I try. Thanks for commenting.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Marge 🙂 Yes, the expression on the gorilla’s face, the sparkle in his eyes, the posture, combined to make this an intriguing photo. But it wasn’t untill I got home and uploaded this shot that I saw all the reflections. Makes for a very interesting shot, and an instant favorite of mine. Thanks for leaving a comment.

    1. Thanks, I agree! When I was shooting, I wondered if it was a waste of time because the glass was filthy, the crowd around the window was crazy as everyone was trying to get a shot of the ape, etc. I clicked off two frames (both of them here) and then we left. I was so focused on the ape that I didn’t see all of the other stuff that was going on, nor did the facial expression grab me at that time. Only when I uploaded did I realize the incredible results. I love the apes! Thank you for noticing and for commenting. Glad you like him.

    1. Thanks, Tom. The two phtotos of the Gorilla were my favs. Glad you like them. Also, thanks for stopping by my blog, and for leaving a comment. Much appreciated.
