Weekly Photo Challenge: Shadows

I had planned to venture outside and shoot some really cool, awsomely artful, breathtakingly beautiful photos using shadows and light and whatever else I saw for this photo challenge. . .but the flu knocked me out and those plans swirled swiftly downward and out the drain as I lay in bed, day after day, with aches, congestion, fever and coughing.  Well the fever is gone as are most of the aches, the coughing remains.  I am still pretty much house-bound.  I haven’t even been able to make the 10-minute-trudge to CVS for meds.  My husband performed that chore and a host of others as well.  Now however, he’s down for the count, and he’s the one with the fever et al.  (My turn to pay the drug store a visit.)

Back to the photo challenge. . . This morning bleary-eyed and half awake, as I brewed my first cup of coffee, I noticed that the early morning sun was creating some interesting shadows in our apartment.  Voila!  Not the immensely interesting or magnificently mesmerizing photos I had envisioned, but nice and simple and wonderful because they were taken in our apartment.  Home-sweet-beautiful-home!

Closet doors in our bedroom-turned-into-an-office, aka "study."

  1. great photos. I like especially the first one… amazing that how a simple object turns into a piece of art under good light and shadow and certainly the correct pair of eyes who took the shooting 🙂

    1. Why, thank you! The first one is definitely my favorite. These photos are good reminders that I don’t really have to go far afield to find beauty. Thanks for checking out this post, and for taking the time to comment.

    1. This challenge just happened to be one of those that reminded me that we don’t have to “go” anywhere to find our “shots.” All we have to do is open our eyes and pay attention. Thanks for stopping by, and for taking time to comment.
